About the Department
Among four departments forming the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Department of Mathematical Analysis, Computational Mathematics and Probability Methods (the MACMPM department) is the biggest one. It is divided into three groups: Group of Mathematical Analysis, Group of Computational Mathematics and Group of Probability Methods.
Head of the department is prof. dr hab. Zbigniew Szkutnik; deputy head is prof. dr hab. Petru Cojuhari.
Group of Mathematical Analysis
Within the Group of Mathematical Analysis there are two research groups:
research group Functional Analysis: Petru Cojuhari (head), Grzegorz Guzik, Sergii Kuzhel, Witold Majdak, Maria Malejki, Wojciech Motyka, Michał Nowak, Jerzy Stochel, Ewelina Zalot.
research group Approximation and Theory of Operators: Anna Gryboś, Joanna Meissner, Krzysztof Rudol, Zygmunt Wronicz (head).
