About the Department...

The Department of Discrete Mathematics is located in the heart of AGH (and therefore in the city center), 10-15 minutes on foot from the Market Square. The department's facilities are concentrated in the so-called connector A3-A4 and in the building B7. One may get to the connector either through the entrance of A3 or A4. Here, on the third floor, among others are located the Administrative Office of the faculty, the offices of a part of the department workers (the office of the current head of the department, Rafał Kalinowski, 307b included), and in the room 304 the "Discrete Mathematics" seminar is being organized every Tuesday.

Other workers have offices in the building B7, where also our library, containing the Discrete Nook, is located.

There is a research groups operating within the Department of Discrete Mathematics: the ''Graph Theory Group''. Working in this group certainly does not preclude the individual activity or working in other teams.

The names of the bookmarks: "Scientific research", "Seminars. Conferences" and "Cooperation" speak for themselves.

Data on the teaching activities of the workers of the Department of Discrete Mathematics can be found among others on the web pages devoted to specializations "Mathematics in computer science", "Mathematics in the management" and "Computer and computational mathematics" conducted by the Faculty of Applied Mathematics.

Other aspects of our current activities are discussed on the respective pages. We invite you to visit them!
